The fees for connection to the city electrical system shall be as follows:

(a)   The cost of materials and labor to connect to the electrical system shall be assessed to the applicant.

The following rates shall be charged users of electricity in the city:

(a)   The minimum charge each month shall be $20.00 for the first 15 KWH.

(b)   The next 25 KWH shall be $0.105 per KWH.

(c)   The next 160 KWH shall be $0.068 per KWH.

(d)   All over 200 KWH shall be $0.069 per KWH.

(e)   Demand Charge: The demand charge per KW per month shall be $2. The billing demand shall be the maximum indicated or recorded 30 minute  demand during the month.

(f)   Beginning on May 2021 rates shall increase as above. Rates will then be reviewed each year in January.

The electricity reconnection charges shall be as provided in section 15-215.

Electricity bills will be due and payable as provided in section 15- 110.

It shall be unlawful for any person to break the seal of any meter, to alter the register or mechanism of any meter, or to make any outlet or connection in any manner so that electricity supplied by the city may be used or wasted without being metered. It shall be unlawful for any person except an authorized employee of the electric department to turn any meter on or off.
